Bahamas 1 Dollar 2024, P-77, UNC

The renewed CRISP Evolution issue continues the visual language of modern Bahamian currency while introducing brighter green tones and environmentally conscious Hybrid Green substrate technology.

Design & Symbolism

Obverse

The obverse presents Sir Lynden O. Pindling framed by luminous tropical colors, the blue lignum vitae flower, and stylized cartographic imagery of the Bahamian islands. Refined holographic security elements, iridescent owl imagery, and layered geometric structures create a cleaner, more vivid interpretation of the earlier CRISP Evolution design.

Reverse

The vertically aligned reverse portrays the ceremonial Drum Major of the Royal Bahamas Police marching band, accompanied by musical symbolism, national emblems, and softly radiating security patterns. Enhanced green tonalities and updated hybrid substrate materials give the composition a fresher visual atmosphere while preserving the cultural identity of the series.

Collector’s Insight

For collectors, this updated issue is significant as a refined evolution of the CRISP series, combining sustainability-focused substrate technology with one of the Caribbean’s most recognizable modern banknote designs. The subtle visual adjustments and upgraded production approach distinguish it from the earlier 2017 release while maintaining continuity within the series.
