Design & Symbolism

Obverse

Purple, red and yellow guilloches frame the 10-Dinara denomination, Serbo-Croatian text in Cyrillic and Roman scripts and Stiepo Andrijić’s signature. The composition balances its main imagery with compact typography and repeated denomination indicators. Tones of purple, red, and yellow unify the pictorial subject, lettering and repeated indicators of value.

Reverse

Stari Most, the Old Bridge over the Neretva River in Mostar, appears within a guilloche composition with bilingual inscriptions. Rather than crowding the subject, the typography establishes a measured boundary around the pictorial work. The purple, red, and yellow palette provides continuity between the illustration, typography and value numerals.

Collector’s Insight

For collectors, P-10 opens the 1992–1993 regular issue that replaced the preceding emergency coupons. Dated 1 July 1992 and introduced on 17 August, it establishes the 145 x 73 mm format, diamond-pattern watermark and Stiepo Andrijić signature shared by the first group.
