Red zeros and a circular Sarajevo handstamp transform the guilloche front, while Stari Most over the Neretva River remains the clear reverse focal point.
Design & Symbolism
Obverse
The original 50-Dinara guilloche front is altered with tall red zeros and a circular SARAJEVO handstamp dated 24.12.1993. Across the side, black and red tones connect the subject with the denomination and institutional inscriptions. Around the main motif, Croatian text and denomination numerals complete the printed field.
Reverse
The underlying P-12 reverse remains unchanged, showing Stari Most over the Neretva River in Mostar. The use of black and red creates a consistent ground for the illustration, official text and value figures. Croatian inscriptions share the composition with the denomination, forming a compact frame for the imagery.
Collector’s Insight
For collectors, P-55h applies the same 24 December 1993 Sarajevo treatment to the 50-Dinara P-12 base note, using tall red zeros to create the displayed 50,000-Dinara value. The underlying P-12 is genuine, but The Banknote Book does not recognise the Sarajevo handstamp and added denomination as an official B137 variety.
