Dark green deepens the brown view of Knin's fortress as the Serbian Krajina series advances into six-digit inflationary values.

Design & Symbolism

Obverse

The fortress complex above Knin is drawn in brown and dark green beneath formal Serbian Cyrillic lettering. Large 500,000-dinara numerals dominate the margins without obscuring the crenellated skyline. Security is limited to the Greek-key watermark pattern, leaving the broad paper free of a security thread.

Reverse

A stylized vase stands against fine ornamental engraving beside Croatian text and the Serbian state emblem. Its symmetrical shape provides a stable centre for a denomination whose many zeros command much of the surrounding space. Linear borders echo the repeating geometry visible in the paper's watermark.

Collector’s Insight

For collectors, the 500,000-dinara value follows the same 1993 reform basis as the lower notes, when six zeros were removed from the preceding currency. An A prefix and Pavao Marjanović's signature define the issued variety. The leap to a six-digit face value within the same design family makes the pace of monetary deterioration immediately legible.
