Modern mosque architecture and pharaonic symbolism share the transparent layers of Egypt’s orange ten-pound polymer circulation note.

Design & Symbolism

Obverse

Al-Fattah Al-Alim Mosque in the New Administrative Capital stands amid violet, brown, red and yellow polymer printing. Arabic inscriptions, a stylized reed and the Eye of Horus frame its domes and minarets, while transparent windows interrupt the conventional banknote field. The design uses the substrate itself to open space around the architecture.

Reverse

The reverse gathers a winged sun disc with snakes, a boat, pyramids and a statue of Hatshepsut. English bank text and a stylized reed run through the archaeological sequence, with transparent areas adding depth between the images. Ancient royal and solar references provide a deliberate contrast to the newly built mosque on the face.

Collector’s Insight

For collectors, hassan Abdalla's signature marks the second governorship phase of Egypt's first circulating polymer denomination. Beside the 2022 Amer-signed note, it forms a direct comparison in which political administration changed while the principal artwork remained intact. The pair isolates a genuine catalog variety without relying on a new design.
