The 2014 20 Lempiras places Dionisio de Herrera opposite Tegucigalpa’s old Presidential Palace, carrying a long-established state theme into the tactile banknote series.
Design & Symbolism
Obverse
Dionisio de Herrera appears beside the Honduran coat of arms, with raised identification features incorporated into the green, purple, orange, yellow and light-blue front.
Reverse
The old Presidential Palace in Tegucigalpa occupies the reverse beneath Spanish issuer text.
Collector’s Insight
For collectors, P-100b is the 12 June 2014 variety and marks a printer change from the 2012 Oberthur issue to Polish Security Printing Works. Sig. 32 and BX–BZ prefixes identify this stage, while the BCH 20 thread and matching watermark pattern remain part of the type.
