Blue vehicles converge around the BCEAO emblem, while a pair of groupers takes the same cool palette into a coral-filled seascape.
Design & Symbolism
Obverse
The aircraft is pictured above its control tower, with a bridge and passenger bus below and an electric train nearby. The scenes are combined as a montage, not a view of one transport terminal. The large BCEAO sawfish emblem and denomination sit beside these smaller, densely engraved vehicles.
Reverse
White groupers pass through coral, their bodies set at different angles within the blue panel. Fine marks describe their fins and flanks, with branching coral below.
Collector’s Insight
For collectors, this 2026 issue keeps the established 2,000-franc design but carries the Coulibaly–Brou signatures, unlike the Wadagni–Koné pairing on the 2019 note. The A country code remains Ivorian. A side-by-side comparison reveals how a shared monetary design can continue while the dated signature varieties provide the meaningful collecting distinction.
