Design & Symbolism
Obverse
King Talal occupies the blue-violet face beside floral detail and painted vaults from Qusayr 'Amra. A crown registration device and Arabic inscriptions order the surrounding field, while the SPARK Orbital denomination adds controlled movement. The watermark repeats the king's portrait beside an electrotype 10 and cornerstones.
Reverse
Amman's Roman amphitheatre opens across the reverse, its stepped seating forming a broad counterpoint to the enclosed vault imagery on the front. English text, flowers and a second crown registration device frame the monument. Solid and windowed security threads pass through the paper without disturbing the architecture.
Collector’s Insight
For collectors, this is the first 10-dinar variety of Jordan's fifth series, dated 2022 and introduced on 26 July 2023. Mohamad al-Ississ and Ziad Fariz sign the issue, and prefixes AC through AE define the recorded run. The King Talal portrait family separates it clearly from the preceding fourth-series design.
