Design & Symbolism
Obverse
Damdinii Sükhbaatar is shown in a peaked hat beside the Soyombo symbol and Mongolian inscriptions. The blue palette gives the portrait a crisp, restrained presence within the compact format. A blue scheme keeps the separate pictorial and monetary elements within a single visual field.
Reverse
Two horses graze beneath fir trees and mountains on the reverse. The rural setting offsets the formal portrait on the front and links the denomination to the rest of the lower 1993 values. Mongolian inscriptions share the composition with the denomination, forming a compact frame for the imagery.
