Design & Symbolism

Obverse

Mohammed Ali Jinnah, Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah form a closely arranged portrait group. Urdu text, the 75th-anniversary emblem, a green-to-gold denomination and the see-through numeral give the front a distinctly commemorative structure.

Reverse

Earth seen from space appears above a markhor, mountain slopes and deodar trees. The national animal and tree place biodiversity at the centre of the reverse, reinforced by the message 'Saving Climate and Species.' English lettering, the bank emblem and denomination complete the scene.

Collector’s Insight

For collectors, P-56(2) is the variety with UV activity on the left serial number, distinguishing it from P-56(1), where that serial remains dark. Issued for Pakistan's 75th anniversary of independence, it is an undated, one-off circulating commemorative note signed by Jameel Ahmad rather than a regular denomination in the series.
