A locomotive steam engine appears at the left, while the coat of arms, the emblem with lion and cap and the legal text frame López within a composition of government authority and nineteenth-century modernization.

Reverse

The reverse centres on the Palacio de los López in Asunción, the presidential workplace and seat of Paraguay’s government, with a locomotive steam engine repeated at the right. The palace architecture gives the design its institutional focus, while the railway motif links the political portrait on the front to infrastructure and national development.

Collector’s Insight

For collectors, this 2022 polymer variety is notable for its prefix J, Insfrán / Cantero signature combination and Canadian Bank Note Company printing. It belongs to the later Series G-J group of the 5,000 Guaraníes type and is defined by its Guardian polymer substrate, BCP clear-window feature, absence of security thread, government-palace reverse and UV-visible activity shown in reference imagery.
