Design & Symbolism

Bowls, plates and vases form the central civilization-themed composition, with a pottery bowl serving as the registration device and Arabic text surrounding the design.
Reverse
Traditional musical instruments are arranged around the Central Bank of Sudan logo and a pottery bowl beneath English denomination text.
Collector’s Insight
For collectors, P-71c is the March 2017 signature variety of the modified-colour series introduced after South Sudan’s secession. Hazim Abdegadir Ahmed Babiker’s signature and the BF prefix distinguish it from the 2011 and 2015 versions of the same 2 Pounds design.
