A deep green palette returns on the two-hundred-rouble note, but the larger format gives its state emblems and parliament vignette a more expansive setting.
Design & Symbolism
Obverse
Green engraving builds outward from Tajikistan’s national emblem through layered rosettes, curved linework and strong denomination numerals. Tajik Cyrillic inscriptions identify the National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan and the 1994 date. The broader paper format allows the official lettering and serial numbers to sit more comfortably around the emblem than on the five lowest values.
Reverse
The Majlisi Oli parliament building stretches across the central panel beneath the national flag. Repeated value devices, a dense green border and the Tajik counterfeit warning frame the architecture without changing the visual hierarchy. Straight lines in the façade provide a measured centre against the circular guilloche surrounding it.
Collector’s Insight
For collectors, the 200-rouble note belongs to the larger high-value group despite repeating the green colour used on the fifty-rouble denomination. It is also the last issued value with the plain repeating-star watermark. The next denomination adopts stars arranged in a wave, making this note a useful dividing point in a watermark-based set.
