ThemePortraits & People

Red polymer carries Rama X toward Rama V and Rama VI, preserving dynastic continuity while transparent windows reshape the surface.

Design & Symbolism

Obverse

Rama X is portrayed in Royal Thai Air Force uniform amid red, orange and brown polymer printing. The Royal Garuda and Thai inscriptions frame the likeness, while clear windows, raised edge lines and a tactile denomination introduce touch and transmitted light. Gold detail adds a controlled focal accent beside the portrait.

Reverse

Rama V and Rama VI occupy the central field, maintaining the same dynastic pairing as the paper hundred-baht issue. Red and orange ornament now passes around clear polymer elements and a printed thread, creating more open intervals around the portraits. The Royal Garuda binds the revised material to the established Series 17 language.

Collector’s Insight

For collectors, this first signature variety belongs to Thailand's inaugural circulating hundred-baht polymer issue of 21 November 2025. It carries Pichai Chunhavajira with Sethaput Suthiwartnarueput; the later second variety changes that pairing while retaining the same portraits and polymer format. The signature panel therefore provides the essential distinction within the new type.
