Transnistria 5 Roubles 2007, P-43a, UNC

Cool blue and violet engraving pairs Alexander Suvorov with the KVINT Distillery's administrative building in the original 2007 five-rouble type.

Design & Symbolism

Obverse

Alexander Suvorov's portrait occupies the left side in blue-violet linework, facing a large central numeral 5. The bank title, written denomination and 2007 date are arranged around a fine guilloche field, while a narrow windowed security thread provides the principal visible safeguard. The watermark combines Suvorov's portrait with an electrotype PRB monogram.

Reverse

The administrative building of the KVINT Distillery stands across the centre-right, its long facade and entrance framed by trees and pale geometric ornament. A large numeral 5 anchors the left side, the denomination is written above the architecture, and the serial number appears at upper right. Blue tonal work separates the long facade, central entrance and surrounding ornament clearly.

Collector’s Insight

For collectors, P-43a is the original security configuration of this design. Its narrow windowed thread separates it from the P-43b modification, which keeps the Suvorov and KVINT imagery but introduces a broader winged strip and a 2012 modification inscription. A matched pair therefore records a technical revision within one stable design rather than two separate artistic types.
