Design & Symbolism
Obverse
Dark blue and brown tile patterns form a dense ornamental front around the coat of arms of Uzbekistan and the large denomination 25. Uzbek inscriptions and the year are integrated into the central panel, while a contrasting patterned strip carries the serial number at left. Repeating stars, rosettes and interlaced borders structure the composition.
Reverse
The Kazi-Zade Rumi Mausoleum in the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis in Samarkand appears as a group of domed and portal-fronted buildings across the main vignette. A pale watermark field occupies the left side, with denomination panels below. Blue architectural linework, small multicolored ornaments and a finely patterned border frame the historic ensemble.
Collector’s Insight
For collectors, P-77 is the regular 25 Sum issue with prefixes EA–EZ and FA–FN; the same design is separately recorded with a ZZ replacement prefix. The prefix is therefore the practical distinction between regular and replacement examples.
