Design & Symbolism

Obverse

Ho Chi Minh faces slightly inward from the right, bordered by the transparent window and a vertical denomination. Across the left half, the national coat of arms, serial number and large value sit among pale green, tan and yellow patterns. Fine radiating lines join the main elements while preserving a clear hierarchy between portrait, emblem and value.

Reverse

Bach Ho's offshore platforms form the reverse subject, with towers, cranes and working decks arranged in a long band above the water. Brown engraving defines the industrial equipment against lighter yellow and green ornament. The scene avoids a single dominant structure, presenting the oil field as a connected network rather than an isolated rig.

Collector’s Insight

For collectors, the 2023 date precedes the separately listed 2024 PolySecure issue of the same 10,000-dong design. Because the portrait and Bạch Hổ reverse remained consistent, the year is the clearest point of distinction in a chronological set.
